The leaders of the Shaull Garden challenged the Engineering Club to create a solution to reduce the dependence on volunteers to water the garden.

The students brainstormed several solutions, remembering the prior lesson on how to harness the energy from the sun using solar power. 

Together, we developed a solar-powered irrigation system so that the garden could self-sustain utilizing a rain collection system.
